MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a support group for any mother of a child from birth to preschool age.

Our steering and bible study meeting is every 1st Tuesday of the month from 9:30-11:30a.m. in Room 114. Our general monthly meeting is every 3rd Tuesday with speakers, creative activity, brunch and fellowship from 9:30 to 11:30 in Room 114. Free childcare is provided for all MOPS meetings. Any mother is welcome to come to bible study, general meetings, or both! Additional play dates and family activities happen throughout the year. This is a great way to connect with other moms of young children.

Our mission project this year is helping the First Contact Committee reach out to moms of newborns. First Contact works with members of our congregation who have a new baby in the family. MOPS will be supplementing this service by providing meals for the families. If you would like to contribute a portion of a meal, please sign up at the meeting or contact Erika O’Bryant at
e.obryant@fandcpres.org for more information about our MOPS program, or call the church office at 862-5068.

Join us for our Monthly Bible Study, every 1st Tuesday of the month.

Bad Girls of the Bible:
And What We Can Learn From Them

by Liz Curtis Higgs

9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Room 114

Ten of the Bible’s best-known femmes fatales parade across the pages of Bad Girls of the Bible
with situations that sound oh-so-familiar. Eve had food issues. Potiphar’s Wife and Delilah had man trouble.
Lot’s Wife and Michal couldn’t let go of the past, Sapphira couldn’t let go of her money,
and Jezebel couldn’t let go of anything. Yet the Woman at the Well quenched her thirst for the truth,
while Rahab and the Sinful Woman left their sordid histories behind,
proving Bad Girls can have a gloriously good future.
