ChristCare

ChristCare groups are small group gatherings of three to twelve persons who meet on a regular basis with a trained, commissioned, and supervised leader, who has completed a yearly 40-hour training program.

The purpose of ChristCare groups is to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ as they participate in

  • community building and care
  • Biblical equipping
  • Prayer and worship
  • Missional service

Please call the church office, 862-5068, with questions or to seek further information.  Groups are forming regularly and meet at various times and on different days. We would be happy to welcome you to ChristCare.

Prayer Chain Fellowship

All human beings have a deep and profound need to commune with their Creator, and prayer is the method given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ that allows us to stay in touch with God.  The most powerful example we have of the importance of prayer is from Jesus Himself, Who frequently turned to His Father in prayer, for help, guidance and sustaining love.

At First & Calvary, there is opportunity for members to focus on private prayer, to learn meditation and other forms of quiet prayer, to meet with small groups for contemplative prayer, and to investigate a wide variety of prayer resouces and writings.  Another focus of this ministry is spiritual direction assisting church members in their individual spiritual growth and prayer life.

Prayer is a means of grace as well as a result of it.

It is an expression of faith and also the food that nourishes faith.

This group of dedicated First & Calvary members prays two times a day for all concerns. Prayer requests are passed along by phone throughout the day along the "prayer chain".  Consider being a member of this important ministry of our church.
